Starting today, Tuesday June 26th, we will have an ice cream truck visiting our community starting at 5:30 PM. It will visit each Tuesday at the same time for the summer. Come out and beat the heat!

Hwy 27 Traffic PAttern Change
If you haven’t been on the Hwy 192 on-ramp to Hwy 27 North, we wanted to warn everyone that the lane no longer turns into the 3rd lane of 27 North; it now becomes a turn lane into the road by WalMart.
This means you must now merge into 27 traffic if you wish to continue on north-bound. Please be cautious now as you get onto 27.
And don’t forget our community garage sale will be Saturday, October 17th.
We have also added a new page to the web site called “Area Deals”. Click on the link at the top of the page to view it. We will post entries here of restaurants within driving distance that offer special deals whether it is Cast Member discounts for Disney workers or special pricing on certain nights. If you know of any special deals please reply to this email and I will get them posted on the web site.

Florida Tax Free Weekend
Florida’s annual Tax Free Weekend starts Friday, August 1st, at 12:01 AM and runs through midnight on Sunday, August 3rd. The following items are tax free as long as each item is under or up to the listed amount:
School Supplies ($15)
Clothing ($100)
Computers ($750)

Clermont’s New Arts & Recreation Center
Recently you may have seen in the news where the City of Clermont purchased the former “Celebration of Praise” facility. It has now been turned into the Clermont Arts & Recreation Center. This building is located next to the Kings Ridge community a few miles north of Weston Hills. The Center is offering many community events and activities.They can be reached at 352-394-3500.
Click HERE to check out the overview of their facilities and what they offer. From sports activities to rental space for meetings, events, and weddings, the facility has a lot of space. Rental rates are listed in the overview.
This coming Saturday, June 28th, will be their first Family Movie Night. They will be showing The Lego Movie [rated PG]. The entire event will run from 5 PM to 8:30 PM (the movie will begin around 7 PM). The movie is free to the public; there will be a minimal charge for food and drinks. The Center is looking for a big turn out for their first event. We wanted to get the word out to the community.
Halloween Trick-Or-Treating Hours – Oct 2013
Hours for trick-or-treating will be 5 PM to 8 PM, on Thursday October 31st.
If you are not participating please leave your porch lights off. If you are out trick-or-treating please be courteous and only stop at homes with their lights on.

Ice Cream Social A Big Success!
The Social Committee would like to thank everyone who attended the Social (and volunteered). It was a great success and they look forward to the next event in October!
